Description

Become a self sufficient kiterider in this 5 day kite surfing program. By the end of this program you will be able to start jumping and be a truly independent rider and enjoy kite surfing in different water surfaces and strengths!

This 5 day course includes Levels 1, 2 and 3 of the IKO (International Kiteboarding Organization) Programs as well as theory.

Level 1 - Discovery Kiteboarder Program
Level 1 is a land program where you will learn about your equipment and how to control your kite. You will be taken through the steps of piloting a 2 or 4 line kite, and body dragging in the water. You will also learn about safety and how important it is to the sport. Furthermore, you will be taken through the steps of equipment set up, launching and landing.

Level 2 - Intermediate Kiteboarder Program
By the end of the intermediate program, you will get up on the board for your first ride. During the course, you will improve kite piloting with power, one hand kite piloting, body dragging unhooked and hooked to your harness. Perfect for those who wish to practice a few times per year and rent equipment during holidays.

Level 3 - Independent Kiteboarder Program
You will be able to ride upwind and do your first jump! During this program, you will learn how to manage your practice area and choose your equipment. Your kite flying skills will be improved and you will learn how to control your direction and power, and come back to your starting point. You will be able to fly more powerful kites. You will use twin tip, mutant or a smaller directional board.

Graduation
At the end of every successful training course, each student will receive their kite boarder card validated for their level of experience (IKO student standards).

What is Kite Surfing? Kite Surfing or Kite Boarding is an extreme water sport where the kitesurfer stands on a board with footstraps and uses a large kite to propel oneself along the water. The kiteboarder has to learn to control both the board and the kite at the same time.

Kite surfing is a physically demanding sport and requires strength and a high fitness level.

• Kite surfing location is in Nusa Dua
• Transfers are not included in the course fee and you will have to arrange your own transport or ask us for a quote.
• Kite surfing season is from June through September. No lessons are conducted from October until June the following year. Please inform us of your travel dates if you wish to book this activity.
