Sangeh Monkey Forest
The Alas Kedaton Monkey Sangeh is located in Sangeh Village in the south west part of Bali. This is a large forest where you will find hundreds of mischievous monkeys as well as rare nutmeg trees and a mysterious temple. The main attraction is the presence of hordes of intelligent monkeys that live in the trees and the Bukit Sari Temple located in the heart of the forest.

Taman Ayun
The Temple of Taman Ayun was built in the seventeenth century as the state temple of Mengwi. "Taman Ayun" means the most beautiful flower garden and is one of the siz most holy temples in Bali. The entire complex is built on 3 levels.

After you enter the courtyard, a path a will you through a spacious grass covered forecourt. Going through a pair of split gates, you will arrive at the central court which has some pavilions. Here you will pass through a large stone gate to reach the temple inner court which houses 16 beautiful shrines. The inner court is surrounded by a wide moat and has a traditionally built red brick wall around it. The shrines or merus were built in honor of the gods of the mountains Agung, Batukaru and Batur.

Tanah Lot Temple
Tanah Lot is a temple built on a rock just off the coast of South West Bali and is accessible during low tide only. The temple was built in connection with a famous priest from Java who slept on the rock and later advised the Balinese to build a temple there.

As you enter Tanah Lot, you will first plass through a huge maze of shops selling paintings, clothes and many locally made crafts. Head towards the sea and take a walk in the park area to the right of the temple. Then you might like to go down to the temple for some photos. Just before sunset, head to the restaurant area, up a flight of steps lined with shops on each side. There you will be able to sit down and order a coconut juice and take your sunset photos.

Like Taman Ayun, this is one of the six most holy temples in Bali. Tourists visit Tanah Lot to view the temple and the beautiful sunset.

This tour will make an interesting half day excursion if you have limited time in Bali for sightseeing.
