Bali international airport is located in South Bali.  The area known as Tuban or South Kuta is only 5 minutes north from Bali airport.  Kuta Center is about 10 minutes from the airport. Followed by Legian and Seminyak, 15 - 20 minutes away. South of Bali airport is Jimbaran, about a 10 minute drive where you will find mainly luxury resorts.
