Paragliding is a sport where the pilot is strapped in a sitting position to a harness that is attached to a fabric wing and runs forward usually down a slope to launch the paraglider. In Bali, you can go on a Tandem Paragliding Flight with a professional paraglider if you do not have experience, or you can learn to paraglide. Or if you are an experienced paraglider, you could go on a 1 week paragliding tour in Bali.

1) Tandem Paragliding
Paraglide over the coast at Timbis Beach in Bali’s southern peninsular. After a brief pre-flight briefing from a professional paragliding team, you and your qualified flight partner will launch the paraglider for an amazing flight over a magnificent blue lagoon, untouched sandy beaches, coral reefs and seaweed farms. Simply enjoy the sights and the feeling of flying like a bird ! Coming in to land, your pilot ensures a safe and gentle transition back to earth.
Cost is only US$69 per person. You can also have photos and video taken for an extra US$20.

2) Learn to Paraglide in Bali
If you are short on time, you can learn to paraglide in as little as 2 days for only US$250. Longer programs of up to 8 days are available. In the 2 day training session, you will learn over a period of 2 or 3 days how to inflate and control the canopy while on the ground. You will then go on a tandem flight with your instructor and embark on 2 solo flights with radio assistance.

3) Student Pilot License
If you have more time and want to really learn this exciting sport, then you might consider the 8 day student pilot license course which gives you much more practice and solo flights as well as a certificate at the end. Cost for this is US$520.

4) 1 week Paragliding tour of Bali
See Bali from the sky !
